Angelina Jolie chooses Nice on the Riviera to have her twins

American actress Angelina Jolie was still in hospital in Nice, France on Wednesday, awaiting the birth of her twins.

Staff at the seafront Lenval hospital in Nice in the south of France said on Tuesday that American actress Angelina Jolie had checked in to its Santa Maria maternity clinic, to be kept under doctors’ surveillance and rest up before she gives birth.

Her partner Brad Pitt was photographed leaving the hospital on Wednesday.

Summer is definitely here, days are starting to get really hot, don’t ask me how hot, and as I don’t want to know what is happening above 30 º C. So, last week-end I was not keen on roasting myself on the beach like a rotisserie chicken, fair skin, not a good idea. It may appear nothing short of madness at the moment to be investing in foreign property. Interest rates are up, and sterling is weak compared to the euro. All these things put together are having an impact on the confidence of many buyers.

Happy client from the other side of the world

Words by Professor Charles Mulvey from Perth Western Australia. Everyone told me I must be mad. I bought an apartment in Nice off the internet – I didn’t even see until after it had been renovated and furnished. Nobody who’s been there thinks I mad now – they all think that it was a great purchase and that I’ve done very well.

So why did I do it ? Its pretty simple really, I totally trusted Dennis once I had spoken to him a couple of times on the phone. He sent me photographs, videos and detailed descriptions of the apartment prior to my purchasing it and I felt that I knew the place inside out before I committed to making an offer.

The generosity of some of Totally Riviera’s clients can be quite astounding at times. A last minute invitation to the eponymous Joel Robuchon restaurant at the Hotel Metropole in Monaco was always going to be an adventure and a serious treat - and a very generous thank you from a client.

Joel Robuchon is a one-man industry in the French restaurant business where he built his name gathering Michelin stars like confetti at a wedding. He now owns restaurants in Paris, Monaco, London, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Tokyo. Many of them have Michelin stars - in fact across his restaurant empire he has collected 17 stars, the most of any chef in the world.
