…but those of us who know and love the Part des Anges in the Rue Gubernatis have been trying too keep it under the radar for some time. Now Time Out have gone and put it in their latest guide to the Riviera.

If it wasn’t already hard enough to get a table (lunch and dinner, Friday and Saturday only) in this fantastic wine cellar when I make it down to Nice!

Now that the game is up I guess there’s no harm in sharing it with everyone - the Part des Anges is one of the best restaurants I know and one of my favourite places to eat on the planet. In the past I’ve been tempted to steal the simple blackboard with rustic, hearty dishes that just scream great produce and careful cooking.

The many meals I’ve had here - either big nights out with a gang of mates or a quiet lunch for two have always been excellent, memorable and fun. Check it out before Time Out give it a star (or whatever they do). You won’t regret it.
